I can’t shut up about this
I’ve seen videos of people being dragged by the police like a sack of potatoes. I’ve seen a man have an epileptic attack because of being beat up. I’ve seen kids and old people’s heads bleeding. I’ve seen a police officer, who is supposed to serve and protect, jump from a stair to kick a person who was in the floor in the head more strongly.
But I have also seen thousands of people singing “we are paceful” with their hands in the air, showing they were unarmed. I have seen thousands of people screaming “the streets will always belong to us” with so much passion the police got scared and ran away (while still shooting rubber balls). I’m seeing a united country, and I’m also seeing violence.
You may wonder what caused all of this. Well, this is because people tried to vote.
Catalonia wants to decide their future. The government does not approve of the voting because it goes “against the Constitution”. Bullshit. A revolution does not ask for permission. Laws are made by people, and the people are now silenced. Democracy has died in Spain.
